Today, I woke up at 12 noon. I used to be a morning person, but you broke my body clock, and broke every other part of me as well. My subconscious knows that it is not a world worth waking up to without you.

I used to be a morning person, until you weren’t in my mornings anymore. I’m not even an afternoon person, because you weren’t in my afternoons either. I am a night person, though, because then I would be able to sleep through the pain, and see you in my dreams.

I’m a moving vehicle. Nobody can stop me from moving forward. But for you, I’d be a pedicab. You can ride on my side cart. We can continue moving. Together.

mademoisellerika:

You got off the train,
and I said goodbye.
Not in the way
the sun dies with the morning,
or the moon with the night.
Not even in the way
the stars remain after
both the sun and moon parts.
Because you know
you will see them again on your side
of the world after a day and a night.
No.
I said goodbye
the way the dying
exhales for the final time
or the way paper turns to fire
and fire turns to ashes—
with a period
and never
coming
back.

The sweetest way to say it is “I love you,” plain and simple. Straightforward. No other meanings. And without a period. Because I don’t want to put a dot to this love we have.

mademoisellerika:

I hear the sea in the shells,
but know there can’t be a sea inside.

Much like you.

I hear your heart in your words,
but know it is not there.

What good masks
to fool us into thinking
we have things
we do not have.

And what fools we are
to believe it
even after the truth
is learned.

mademoisellerika:

I’ve probably written more pieces in the past month than I have for the past two years, to an extent that I am able to create my own noise and surprise even myself with the sudden outbursts. I always thought that I lost my touch with words during my writer’s block, that in between thinking and…

mademoisellerika:

The ocean is so selfish
that it takes back all the waves
it sends to the shore.
The ocean is so possessive
that it takes even the waves
that have mated with the sand.
I am the ocean,
the all of you is mine.

mademoisellerika:

You killed
all the butterflies
in the pit
of my stomach
and you gave me
their wings
so I can fly
again.

There are those who say fate is something beyond our command. That destiny is not our own, but I know better. Our fate lives within us, you only have to be brave enough to see it.
